Im looking for a pony for my 7 yr old daughter who has been riding off the lead line for a little while now. She is currently riding a mini gelding who will be capable of carrying her for another 12 months, but she really does need a bigger pony.

I would like her new pony to be between 11.3 and 13.3hh and aged between 8 and 20. Sex and breed are not highly important, nor is colour. Said pony should be quiet and safe to handle and ride with no nasty vices. Pony club is attended once a month with the odd topsy ring thrown in during the show season..other than that, its just riding around at home.

I have $1500 to spend...Yes, i know that is not very much money for the kind of pony i am after, but there has to be something out there that needs a new home and to be loved and ridden again. Happy to take on an aged pony and more than happy to provide a forever home if need be. I have 25 acres in Bordertown in the South East. I would also look at a more expensive pony if the owners were willing to let remainder of cost be paid off. I also have a mini gelding who is broken to harness and saddle and a shetty mare who i would be willing to swap or sell.

Due to distance i am unable to look at any ponies further than an hour north of adelaide, but happy to look in victoria within 4 hrs from home.
