| ah bugga - bit too far from yatala vale. that a really good price too! - but I would spend four times that in petrol getting to you. I love free range eggs - the colour and taste is just so far superior to store bought eggs.

| You know the best thing about free range eggs? They don't stick to the frying pan!!! It's amazing...couldn't figure out why I suddenly didn't have to scrape the residual egg off the first time. We've just been given some excess free range chickens by a local FRE producer purely due to the fact that their breed produces white eggs and the general public has this "thing" that brown eggs are "better". Go figure! They've just started laying so we are beginning to reap the benefits! |

| Thanks Werdun I was reading about a lady in Gawler who rescues day old hatchery chicks from being gassed because they have coloured feathers which leave marks in meat apparently? Then she raises them for free range meat for her family and they have wonderful lives. I'd love to get 'second hand' or rescue chickens rather than store bought ones for my layers. |

| Hi Ladies, i dont want to come across as rude or nasty, but could you please only post in this thread if you are placing an egg order? I am "watching" this thread and my inbox & phone (email notifications on it) are going balistic. Walkers sell ex-battery hens- its where 4 of ours came from. poor darlings have been beaked |
