I have available for free lease, a very cute and fat Welsh / shetland 8 year old gelding who loves eating! Nick is about 12.2 or 12.3 hh but built like a TANK! Lots of bone, could easily carry a small adult.He is personality PLUS and loves getting out on tail rides. He is also a good jumper. He is a very safe pony but not for a weak child or total beginner as he likes to a) stop and be lazy in the arena or b) EAT grass or whatever he can find which may frustrate some riders.

Ideally Nick might suit a child, teen or small adult who has some riding experince but has lost their confidence on a goey pony as Nick is very steadybut enjoys getting out and about doing stuff rather than leading beginers around. He is excellent to take out on the roads and to pony club etc etc.Great confidence builder for someone that can ride a bit!

Has been used in a riding school but does like to stop and eat which can frustrate the children. Unfortuntely riding school is relocating to a smaller property and can't take all the ponies with them:-( (especially not Nick becuase the new fences need some work and without excellent fencing Nick has been known to escape and take himself walkies!)

Sorry, I can't find any photos at the moment. Very handsome pony though - Black with a white star on his face. He has the taller height of a Welsh pony but the dimensions of a Shetland. Basicly he looks like a giant Shetland.

Excellent doer - ALWAYS on a diet LOL. Terrific hard black little feet, never needs shoes.

Happy for long term free lease but no option to buy sorry. I LOVE this pony and want to keep track of him.

Hi everyone, Nick has gone to the BEST home- Ironically my friend Claire that I purchased him from in the first place . They missed him after he left so much that they were glad to have him back! So sorry everyone who is interested, he is now gone!

Fuzzy is doing great, really improving i have not seen him for a while but claire got back a couple of weeks ago now. He still is wary of people but he has come along way, he is much easier to catch! claire doesn't think he will be a riding pony but he is being a great companion for the other horses.

Yeah I was pretty clear about him not being a riding prospect! I am so glad he fell on his feet with her.

He's too smart for his own good

he would of made an amazing riding pony for a competant kid, and man he can JUMP seriously i reckon if i had the time and knowledge that claire does i would of put all i had into him. Physically he is great, atheletic, speedy, can turn on a 5 cent piece, but mentally he just isn't made out for it its sad he has to go to waste i wanted him for a games pony but he sadly isn't cut out for a riding pony.

He has a vice and was sold as a companion pony only. He would have had a huge amount of potential if he hadnt been stuffed up by a 'professional'

You can learn plenty from a horse on the ground though and he is a good teacher, am so glad he is going well.

Even though he chooses not to be ridden, this does not mean that he is going to waste. Clare is not the only person with time and knowledge who has offered Fuzzy the chance to be ridden, but clearly he has decided that is not to be his role and that he has other things to teach us.
