PostSubject: Solid horse wanted   Sun Feb 27, 2011 6:45 am

I am looking for a new horse after loosing my Beau. I am looking for a solid built horse 15.1 and over I am a chunky bum so they need to be able to comfortably carry my weight. I would like a gelding but would consider a mare if she did not turn into a troll when in season it would have to be a very special mare. Breed does not really matter just had to be able to do a bit of everything. I ride in a western saddle and lean more towards the western style of riding. I can't seem to stay in a english saddle no wonder they are called ejector seats Laughing I am more partial to chestuts but it really depends on the animal not the colour. I am looking for a horse that is quiet but can get up and hoon as well. I am willing to spend around $1200 possibly a little more. I do not have a float nor a car able to tow one so if it was at all possible to deliver that would be a bonus but not a deal breaker. I know I will never find another Beau but I am hoping there is one out there that is a very close second. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Cheers
Amanda

i know a lovely chestnut mare named canterbury who is looking for a new home. shes not been in regular work for about 8months, but her owner (who is my parents neighbour and our friends) hops on and rides around no hassles after long breaks. shes got lots of white. is 15.2, a chunky tb build. lovely smooch. doesnt turn moody in season. she also has a little pony companion who would love to stay with her. tho they can be separated if need be. his name is kent and he is a 10hh pinto. canterbury is 11 or 12 yo. she has a bit of scarring on her front legs from a fence accident a couple years ago, but doesnt affect her what so ever, just means she might not be a hack winner.
