I was just wondering if anyone on here has any racing contacts, either in the thoroughbred racing or standardbred racing industries. I have a project at school for agriculture and have decided to do mine on horse nutrition and weightgain. So in about a month I will be looking for 3 off the track horses(either standardbred or thoroughbred) to use. They do need to be in race condition and all geldings. Expensive school project, feeding 3 horses, then what are you going to do with them. Why dont you get horses that actually need saving instead.

Just curious... what are you planning to do with them once the project is complete??

Off the track horses do need saving, most of them head to the doggers. Once my project is complete they will be broken to saddle and train them for eventing, showing and pony club horses. (:

CA- I thought you had quite a few OTT's at home already...???
It might be easier to use some of them rather than get new ones.

No we only have 1 now, and that's Bob.. and I can't use him as he isn't in race condition. And the horses need to be off the same breed and gender (:
