I have been cutting chaff for prizes for an endurance ride but was asked for 1/2 sized bags...

Thats when the idea hit me Smile I call them "Snack Sax", 12.5 kg bags (actually they are actually min 12.7kg)
They are a handy size for chucking in the float or boot for 2 day shows or weekends away with your horse. Easily managed by one person.

Oaten or Oaten Vetch $8.50
Oaten Lucerne mix $10
Lucerne $13.50

Will upload pic tonight...

What are peoples thoughts on these?

Great idea! I've often wished they'd sell chaff in smaller bags. Would be so much easier to handle. I don't feed much chaff at all so those big bags last so long that the feed is probably stale by the time i get near the bottom.

Thanks CN, when I was asked for 1/2 bags that is what he said...

They will fit in the float better with all the other gear he has to take...

Why, Thankyou Ivydane... Smile actually I cant really take the credit, someone asked me for half bags, luckily Mick had bought some smaller bags a little while back and they are just the right size!

Ummm... I dont know...lol Probably around 5mins or so, the hardest chaff for me is the oaten lucerne mix, mixing is all done by hand, takes me ages... at the moment I can only physically do 6 a day. I just had 16 to do, I got to the third day and I had to get my son to help me with the last 1 1/2 bags, my body just couldnt do it anymore...lol
and Thanks, yeah, will be interesting, havent advertised them yet, going to wait until I have this knee done... I did 12 for an endurance ride tomorrow, Bob took some cards...
Well I best head off, Ive got a delivery to do...
