Austral Grey aka Duke
2001 grey gelding
by Subaustral from sellamaye

15.2-15.3 hh.

Duke is a lovely boy who is looking for a new partner to work with.
Duke has basic education and is lovely to ride when in work- he has currently been out of work for around 2 years with the occasional ride/ lunging.

He has a few scars so would not be suitable for showing, but he loves to jump and loves water so may make a keen jumper/ eventer with the right person.

Duke will only be sold to the best of homes with an experienced rider as he gains his confidence from the rider.

Duke has been to the forrest, beach, ridden/ walked along roads. Mostly good to float (hasnt been on one for a while but was alright to lead on) great to shoe/ trim (currently bare foot) cheeky to worm but is great with a worming bit.

serious enquires only as it is a hard sale of a loved family member.

POA neg to right home.

Duke is a Thoroughbred.

Taking best offer on him, he will go with his synthetic combo, canvas, cotton and stable rug halter and lead.

pfft ~ he would be good in a vehicle....
This horse is very elegant when under saddle and would be a great prospect to get in work and sell on!!

I have only ridden him once through traffic and i was put off by cars swerving at me- so havent done that again.

I think he would be fine in traffic if he was re introduced to it (he will happily walk through it when im on the ground with him)

and as for harness, i think he would be alright at it- he is super smart so it shouldnt take him long to figure it out.

if he was brought back in by an experienced rider i think he would cope fine with a rider who knows what they are doing, even if they are a little out of practice.. I had my youngest sister ride him( who has only riden about 3 times) after no work for about 9 months, i lunged him jumped on him quickly and he was perfectly well behaived.
