PostSubject: Expressions of interest "Norman Arch"   Sat Nov 27, 2010 3:48 pm

Just putting the feelers out for any interest in my Thoroughbred gelding Norman.

Norman is a 6 year old 16.3-17hh chestnut Thoroughbred gelding.
Very smart horse with basic education. Brilliant to handle on the ground, lead, tie up catch and wash.
Picks up his feet and generally is a pleasure to do things with.

Happy to be stabled/ yarded with no vices such as windsucking, weaving or pacing. Great out in the paddock and meets you at the gate. Gets along wonderfully with Duke

He is very green undersaddle and i have only ridden him a handful of times due to my on going hip/joint problems. The times i did ride him he was great to ride and really responsive. He has bucked me off once- but i believe that to be due to no work for a while, large hard feed and my inattention- have riden him since and he did not show any sign of wanting to do it again.

He has a soft snaffle mouth and is a very quick learner. He has been free jumped and has a neat and tidy approach, he carries himself over the jumps nicely and is very keen/ bold.

He would suit just about anything with the education, moves nicely and has a ground eating comfy stride.

He is available to the very best of homes, where he will be used to his full potential- ONLY for sale due to hip injury (i just cannot get up and down on him with out agrivating my injury) and would be keeping him if he was a few hands shorter.

Price neg, quality home is not.

hes a nice boy hope a good home comes along Smile but what about a step thing so u can get on him and off him easily? or teach him to bow to make it easier for u to get on and off? then u could keep him and not aggravate ur hip/joint Smile

bumping- need to move him on, Now that i have decided to move him on i would like to move him on as soon as possible (liable to change my mind and end up with another paddock filler- which is totally unfair on him)

Best offer. suit hunt/ eventing home but would easily compete in dressage (he really can move when motivated) suit experienced rider.

Bumping-

Massive price drop. $800 ono. Norman seems to be cold backed. He will buck when brought back into work after a spell- but is great to handle in every other aspect, He bucked on Wednesday after almost a 2 month spell was was wonderfully well behaived thursday after being lunged on Wednesday (was a little humpy but no bucks)

Will only go to an experienced home who is able to handle a horse who will buck after a spell.

Suit hunting/ eventing. rider no longer riding at this point in time.
