| I am asking all the honest people here if they may have or know of a slow beginners horse...
A young girl I know (actually she turned 20 today) is looking for a horse to have lessons on and get her confidence back...
She had bought a TB mare, she was having leasons as she is only just starting out with horses, but the TB was too much for her, it bolted and she had a bad fall. She owns a Shettie and her sister has been riding since she was little... so they have experience with horses...
I sent her an email the other day to see how she was going and if she had found another horse, she had since trialed an appy, it was well behaved but forward moving, so it bought back memories of her TB, so then she said she is probably too old to start now... I told her she wasnt and even us that are older can lose confidence (I know that well) even when we have ridden happily in the past....
So I said to her I would try and help her... SOOO if anyone can help, could you please let me know... it would be very much appreciated... |

| Where does she live Sooz? I have been thinking of letting someone use Ace for a little while just so I can get my young one started but I do not want him to go very far or even better to stay where he is in Happy Valley. |

| An old Standie might be the go for her. I hope she finds a good horse and doesn't give up on her riding hopes. TB's are never good for beginners. Poor girl..... |

| I was NOT stuttering,- I was just repeating myself to get the point across.............. Really,- I was................... Really!!!! Mmmm. (Stupid computer!) FOTR,- did you mean Sarah??? -She never reared on me?! I never put any pressure on her though,- just pretty much pottered around, but she let my Hubby ride her too. Just goes to show that maybe she is VERY discerning about who rides her???!!! |
