Russian Rocket is a 1997 born TB mare standing 15.3hh.

She is a lovely riding horse, do anything with her, and jumps well.

She is available for free lease, and a possibility of purchasing her if all goes well and owner decides to part with her permanantly.

She is NOT suitable as a broodmare - she has had two foals, had no milk for either of them, was given drugs to bring on the milk for the second foal, that worked and then she refused to feed the foal. So dont enquire if you are after a broodmare

Would make a lovely all rounder for a Pony Clubber or Adult Rider - not suited for a 'beginner' but is not silly.

Great to float and trim hooves

She might do Ruby I will get Craig to hop on her a couple of times and see what shes like after NO work for quite some time

omg i rode this horse in my first hurdle race!!! i rode her for 2 years in 2 flat races and all her trackwork, i have a photo of her an i jumping the last hurdle at vic park!! i m so glad to hear she is still alive, i even had her at my place to teach her to jump, i did all my first jump outs and training through the gates. haha i sound like a dag but its very exciting to see she is still around as she always looked after me and we never fell once!

Wow! That is an amazing story. So how would you rate her as a pony club mount? Would she be a good confidence builder as Ruby asked? I am hoping to hop on her in the near future myself but will wait until Craig as tested her first. Would be interested to read how you'd recommend her to your fellow forum members.

hmm well alot can change when they get off the track, she was always very strong but not into shying or anything like that. I used to ride her in the bush sometimes and she would go along on the end of the buckle but at the track was very strong and very good hurdler. Always queit to handle, i have some good photos of her in the mounting yard etc. She would possibly be fine for an allrounder, she is not in race work now nor race feed and she never bucked or shyed or anything
