Due to selling our back ten acres, and me studying next year Saltbush Lodge is downsizing the our way to large herd.
First SMOOCH STB colt only just turned four, never served a mare.
This boy was given to us by another group that also save STB's. He came from a great home, never been mistreated. Our intention was for me to keep him and show him as a stallion, but I have found that I just dont have the time to put into him. I have four mares at the moment that I show and two of them are still not broken in. I really dont have the time for this boy. He is not broken in either, but being a STB is broken to cart.
He is an absolutely stunning boy and if gelded will be a show stopper in the gelding class. This is what we will be doing with him if we cannot re-home him. He really needs to be gelded as he is getting quite large ( around 16hh mark now ) and still growing so unless you are experienced with a stallion, not recommended to keep him entire. His favourite game is chasing you along the fence and snapping at you ( lol its just a game he has never actually bitten anyone. - although tends to scare the visitors ) You can get in the yard with him and he is a pussy cat, just thinks its funny to scare the crappers out of my parents and other unsuspecting visitors. Will share his food with the mares that get out into the front paddock occasionally ( Mighty miss jin is our local escape artist. ) Excellent for the farrier, lunges quite well and is not a bully at meal times. Easy to rug, float worm. Was floated here in a three and a half hour trip with a mare next to him and didnt care less.
Prefers females handlers, but is fine with most males as long as they tell him who is boss from the get go.
Can arrange delivery at cost to new owner.
I only have photos from when he first got here, he has a lot more weight on him now. He was decontioning from racing at the times of these photos.

Second MIGHTY MISS JIN - avaliable for free lease up to two years.
Jinny is a sweet natured mare that although broken in 12 months ago by AYlesbury Lodge, has not been ridden since being here. Not through any fault of her own, just been so busy when I first got her getting her ready for the led class at the royal. Unfortunately three weeks before the royal she injured her front leg and had to be scratched. A stunning mare we want to retain her for our breeding program that we are planning to start in 2011, but until then it would be nice for her to go to a home that will have time for her.
She is able to be ridden, but due to the raised lump as a result of the injury she is no longer able to be part of our show team. She will not be a horse that will be okay ridden once every couple of weeks if she is going to be a riding prospect, unless she is lunged regularly. She is a high energy horse, that to get the best out of her she needs to have some room to have a run regularly. Will either be leased as a broodmare or riding prospect to experienced home. Suitable as a embrio mare, cycles regularly.
If you fall absolutely head of heels with this girl, a sale would be considered. She is unspoilt loving mare and would be a great mum and she always hangs out and gets very broody over the young ones here.
Here is a photo of her with Ace who has just turned four. Jinny just adores her. Jinny is NOT a fan of clippers, but is excellent to shoe, lunge, float etc.

Jinny is the horse behind with her head over the rail.
Another one, her having a bath at the same time as Ace.
Poor Jinny is the half clipped horse to the right of the photo.

Lease agreement will have to be signed.
Once again delivery can be arranged at your expense.
