| I didn't think I was asking huge money I know there are lots of people that don't like them but I have been told they are a very quiet breed. That is something I would think about... Have been burnt before with a lease, still own somewhere out there a 12yr old appy x..... Where are you??? |

| Money is not the issue here it is about the home... All I want is a good home for the boy, I have a rescue tb who is 17.1hh tb and a 16.2hh tb plus my daughters 2 ponies. I would happily swap him for a quiet 10hh pony if someone is interested doesn't have to be broken in or mouthed.. |

| I think what you are asking is fine, cheap if anything. You will always have those that think any price is too much and she's probably hoping you'll let him go for something silly like $200 or less. Stick with your price he'll sell. |

| hi again justonehorse,
Geez you really have your hands full.
I know what you mean by been burnt with having a lease. i leased a couple of horses that were supposed to be quiet and good for eventing but found they wern't quite right. I live in Hillbank 10 mins away from one tree hill. I learn't how to ride on a SB that was a ex pacer and i used to have an ex trotter until he pasted away, best possible horses i could have. I find that they are really quiet and really versitile horses with the right training of course. Any way have a think about it and if you do want to discuss it further PM me and we can discuss it. |

| I dont think you are asking a ridiculous price by any means!! Cheap!!
If you advertise him cheaper you might actually get LESS inquiries as people will think something is wrong with him. A friend of mine got a horse off the track then lost her job (financial crisis issues, business went bankrupt) so she had to sell him about 2 weeks after she got him. She decided to advertise him for what she payed..$400 for a young off the track TB. He was in the paper for 2 weeks and she hadn't had one call, she put him in one last time and the paper made a typo and put him in for $1400 and he sold that day! |

| Thanks for that eventer if I can just get back the money I am owed for feed etc. I will be happy..
As not knowning the breed I have no idea on there value & he was ridden for 5mins by a friend as I am too sick to ride she said he was quiet so that is all I have to go on for now until I get better then I will jump on him... |

| If I had my way, they would sell for what they are worth.. unbroken to saddle with the amount of work they get in harness, shouldn't be any less than $1000 no matter what. Hell Tbs' have alot less education off the track in most cases and people fall over them selves to pay $4k based on colour. Ahh, we Standardbred folk can dream, but I have no doubt it wont be long before that is (in Sa at least) very much the reality. |

| Well I had to let you all know had someone come out a 15yr nervy girl.. I got on Harley and to say quiet that is an understatement..... She then got on him and she loves him.. Mum wants to come out a few more times to make sure, which is fair enough... |
