| Must be built no later than 1990
no major work needed
must run well and run cheaply
can only budget up to $3000.
pm me or post reply if you know of something, car must pass a RAA mechanical check before purchase. |

| RAA are very, very fussy. Good luck finding a car to pass their inspections for under $3000. I found some car yards won't even let you have an RAA inspection on their cars because they know they won't pass. |

| yeah turns out just about everything except the paint job needed fixing.. and even that could have done with a touch up The dealer suggested we have it looked at.. but we chose a different company to check it rather than his recommended one lol. Have three or so more that i like at other dealerships.. two at the place where ash got the 4X4 and one in the yard next to it and a few private ones so that's what this weekend is for lol. fingers crossed that at least one of them turn out hopeful. as long as there isn't any MAJOR work to be done the its ok... just not when the engine is held together with 15 years of road dust and scrum. |

| Agree with laine. For $3000 I wouldn't even bother with a check cause for that amout of $ something is sure to be dodgy anyway. Even brand new cars stuff up. Better off with a deadly treadly |

| Mum's exel is for sale. Will be asking 2,000 ono ( quite neg) We're booking it in to have the timing belt done at some point. Has two new tyres on rear. Good little car, power windows, sunroof all the exciting stuff. Is a ninety something model.
It has Aircon but the pump needs replacing. The quote was around the $500 mark.
It's been sitting in the drive as pom has given mum the coonry. But we need to move it on for vets bills.
We bought it off Wrighty about a year ago. Mum's quite tall and hits her head on the roof though. |
