PostSubject: Harness pony/horse   Thu May 14, 2009 1:05 pm

Looking for a harness pony or horse suitable for nervous but experienced person. Pony from about 11 hh but would also consider a horse that was very very quiet up to about 15 hands, would consider a standardbred too. Ideally something around 14 hh so it could ridden and driven but I know thats asking for a lot!!

Age isn't really a factor but the equine must have lots of experience in the cart and be very quiet but willing - prefer over 5 and under 15years. Would love to do harness showing and also carriage driving down the track. Have had a shettie harness pony before so I know how to drive but have had a couple of bad experiences riding young horses and need to get some fun and enjoyment happening again. If you think you have something that could possibly suit me I would love to hear from you. I'm in Port Pirie but will travel as far as south of Adelaide. Please email me at helen.brill@bigpond.com

Still undecided Possum!! I have looked at a couple of ponies and I just keep thinking I wish they were bigger so I could ride them. Maybe I should just try to find an extremely quiet, been there done that riding horse????? scratch
