PostSubject: Re: Far Horizons Lodge Equine Therapy - Equissage sessions!!   Tue Mar 02, 2010 1:08 pm

Here are just a few of our patients! We are happy to do any breed, shape or size of animals Smile

This lovely WB mare had a bit of an accident with a fence in a storm and could barely walk her mum was so impressed with her 1st session she booked her in again for a 2nd session the following week and has now brought her own Equissage Smile a happy Mum and a happy horse Smile

From WB to Riding Pony Smile as you can see it is a very fussy free method of helping your horse feel their best along with help the healing process of injuries and ailments that your horse may suffer from.

And for something different!! Meet Iggy 18 month old Poll Hereford bull. He had a hunched back and struggled walking around his yard. Being on a cattle stud is serious business and they care for their cattle just like we do for our horses. Iggy had such a huge improvement after his 1st session where we picked up he had one hip higher than the other and a lump on his spine due to pressure throughout his shoulder and middle back he had a 2nd session and went trotting back to his yard like no-one could believe they haven't seen him move like that for a long time!!

A month on and Iggy is off to a small country show in the next fortnight Smile his dad Dozer just won Champion Senior Hereford Bull at Canberra Royal Smile Iggy is now looking forward to following in his dad's footsteps!

Dozer asking Iggy if he enjoyed his equissage?? Smile

From a Poll Hereford bull to my unbroken 2yr old WB filly

Very impressed this say's it all Unbroken and enjoying every min of her equissage not even a flinch the whole time!!

Hey Em, would an equissage help with a sore back? How many sessions would you need to do?

I must say that my little unbroken 2 yr old also loved her session, stood like a lamb eating her dinner the entire time.

She had no issues as such but it certainly freed up her movement afterwards, so I will be booking her in before the Hambletonian *hint hint Em*

lol Smile HC you know anytime!!

MD it certainly will help with sore backs. Depending on the horse, where the soreness is originating from etc. I just did 2 sessions a week apart on the same horse who had soft tissue damage through his lower back and is now back in full work. After his 1st equissage he had an appointment with the chiro a day or 2 later then followed by another equissage a day or 2 later. I recieved a text from his owner yesterday saying "Hi em, just wanted to say a huge thank you. Rennie is soo much better, rideable, happily doing harder work eg walk canter, shoulder ins, leg yeilds ec. He is a lot happier thank so much for all your help xxx"

I love hearing about happy ponies working well Smile

Eg Iggy the bull is a prime example of how it can fix sore backs of all kinds he he Smile
Iggy has made such an improvement he's off to his 1st Ag show this month and his Dad Dozer just won Champ Senior Poll Hereford Bull at Canberra royal and mind you weighing in at 1025kg Smile so he's following in his Dad's footsteps!!

Hmmmm not sure where his soreness is coming from. He's not being ridden.
He flinches a bit when I press along each side of his back. Happy enough to lunge properly in the pessoa.

Personally i would have a session with the equissage and then maybe have him checked over by the chiro, then followed up by another equissage as we did with the horse mentioned above. I also have the chiro check my horses along with frequent equissages Smile
